The Delineator

The Delineator was published in The United States from 1873 to 1937 by the Butterick Publishing Company. The magazine was launched under the name The Metropolitan Monthly. Its name was changed in 1875. In addition to clothing patterns, the magazine published photos and drawings of embroidery and needlework. It also included articles on all forms of home decor.

The Woman's Home Companion was one of the most popular at the turn of the century. It was first published as The Home in Cleveland in 1873. The magazine was sold to Crowell ( publisher of Farms & Fireside ) in 1885. The magazine was one of the most popular in the US. Its peak circulation was of more than four million during the 1930s and 1940s.
